Maryland BRAC Internship Information Center
This site was created to help students locate internships in Federal agencies as well as the military and defense contractors relocating to Maryland as a result of the Base Realignment and Closure Act of 2005. Internships are located at Andrews Air Force Base, Fort Meade, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Fort Detrick, Bethesda Medical Center, and other military sites in Maryland.

Spoleto (South Carolina) Festival Apprentice Program

Late Spring/early Summer, short-term intensive opportunity to learn about the world of the performing arts and acquire hands-on experience in producing an international arts festival. Interns work at least a 40-hour week; this may include long workdays and nights as well as weekends. A weekly stipend of $250, housing at the College of Charleston, and a travel allowance are provided. May 12-June 8 for most positions.

Arts Management Summer Internships-NYC
Sponsored by the Arts and Business Council of New York. 10 weeks, full-time, stipend. Must have completed the sophomore year by summer. "As this program seeks to promote diversity in the field of arts management, preference is given to African-American, Asian-American, Latina/o, and Native-American students." March 1st application deadline.

Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts
Early March deadline for summer positions. Includes special internships for African-American students and for Hispanic/Latino Students. Undergraduate students (must have completed one year of study or equivalent), graduate students, recent graduates (up to two years out of school), career-changers currently enrolled in a degree program, and international students (J-1 or F-1 Visa required) are eligible. Internships are in many, many fields.

Summer Fellowship Program
The International Radio & Television Society Foundation provides an all-expense-paid fellowship in New York City, which includes practical experience (internship) and career-planning advice. A select number of college juniors, seniors and graduate students are chosen from over 800 applicants across the country.  Students are responsible for their own transportation and housing.  However, a number of grants are available to assist applicants who live outside the metropolitan area.  The deadline to apply is early December.

Mountbatten London Internship Programme Early Deadline
Year long "internship" in a London corporation. Applicants must have a bachelor's or master's degree. For entry-level and people with a few years of experience. Earn a Certificate in International Business Practice with units from a University of Cambridge Management Diploma. Total fees are $2,850, plus travel and some living expenses. Housing accommodations are provided free. Interns receive approximately $1,100 monthly allowance. The company does not pay a salary. U. S. citizenship is required. Very early application deadlines.

U.S. Department of Agriculture's Public Service Leaders Scholarship and Internship Program
Scholarship and paid internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students.  Employment with USDA is required after graduation for each year of the scholarship.  For science, technical, and many, many other majors.

Congressional Hunger Center
This private bi-partisan organization offers national and international fellowships to fight hunger and poverty. Living allowances, stipends, and travel allowances are offered. William Randolph Hearst Endowed Fellowship for Minority Students
Internship sponsored by the Nonprofit Sector Research Fund (Aspen Institute in Washington, DC). Endowed Fellowship three times annually. Based on academic excellence and need. Open to undergraduate and graduate students who are members of minority ggoups. Serves as an intern with the Fund. International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience
Sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students enrolled in a technical field of study (engineering, sciences, architecture, urban planning, computer science) at a four-year university in the United States are eligible. Deadline is January 23, 2006. Most of the available internships are 8-12 weeks during the summer, but longer placements are also available. Language skills are not required. Open to non-U.S. citizens.

National Network for Environmental Management Studies
Fellowships are available for undergraduate and graduate students in environmental policy, regulation, and law; environmental management and administration; environmental science; public relations and communications; and computer programming and development. University of Rochester-Internships in Europe
The University of Rochester coordinates a program for a semester or summer abroad with an internship in London, Paris, Madrid, Brussels, Bonn and Cologne. Jobs are unpaid. Students generally have the equivalent of four semesters of college-level language study. You will be working in a non-English-speaking environment. Attitude and openness are often more important than language skills.
