Greetings BSU members and friends,
 It is with sincere pleasure that I welcome you to the website of the Black Student Union at the University of Maryland. The Black Student Union (BSU) was created in 1968 to maintain the strength and unity of the black community, but to also ensure that black students had a meaningful voice at The University of Maryland. BSU is one of the largest organizations at UMCP, boasting a membership of approximately 3, 000 undergraduate students. We have a lot of exciting things happening this year and we want you to be apart of it all. Among many things, we have a freshmen council designed to develop leadership skills for freshmen. We also have the Big/Lil program where you can sign up to be a little or big and be mentored/mentor student at UMCP, and there are several different committees that you can join to help design BSU programs. Feel free to email me as well as any other executive board members with concerns. Remember our meetings every Monday at 5pm in Nyumburu. See you there!
