The
staff at the University Career Center
is dedicated to helping organizations
recruit qualified undergraduate students,
graduate students and alumni for full-time,
part-time, internship and externship
opportunities. In an effort to do so,
we want to assist you in enhancing
your presence on our campus so that
you have a truly successful recruiting
experience.
To
create a stronger presence on campus
that will set your organization apart
from your competitors, as well as foster
better relationships with students,
faculty, and administrators, we recommend
that you advertise directly to students,
attend campus events and career fairs,
connect with student organizations
and meet with faculty or our staff
one-on-one to develop a customized
recruiting plan.
There
are a number of ways you may enhance
your presence on campus and connect
with students. Through our many programs,
events, and student organizations,
the University of Maryland offers abundant
opportunities for businesses to share
their knowledge and, in the process,
generate awareness for their organizations.

resource for employers to enhance their campus
presence. For more information contact the Diamondback

Connect
with Student Organizations
Choosing student organizations
directly related to your organization
may assist you in enhancing your organizations
presence, as well as making important
student contacts, and also alumni, some
of whom are still involved.
Making a presentation to individual student organizations
or by mailing company information to leaders of
student organizations are two great ways to meet
your goals. We can help you determine the most
appropriate organizations to fit your needs. Contact
us for further information or contact the student
organizations.
Meet
with Faculty or Staff
Some
organizations find that a lunch meeting
with a faculty representative and/or
a University Career Center staff member
is beneficial during the on-campus interviewing
visit. We
can assist you in identifying the appropriate
individuals that will meet your needs.
Contact
us with your request at least three
weeks prior to your visit so we can
invite faculty/staff to be your lunch
guests.
Our
staff will do its best to accommodate
your request, but there may be times
when individuals will not be available
for lunch during your recruiting visit.
