An
effective job search involves more than a new suit and a nice smile
(though these might help).
To be
successful, you'll need to:
- research employers;
- create and polish your resume;
- practice your interviewing skills; and
- have a well-planned strategy.
You'll
want to determine the best places to meet
and network with employers, which might
include career fairs, on-campus interviewing,
online
databases, and other opportunities. In
short, a productive job search will involve
investing time and energy, not to mention
a little planning.
The good news is that the University Career
Center is ready to help you with every
step of the process.
